Foreign banks' presence in Iran free zone

 

 

Nasser Khormali ,Iranian free zones' Director of Banking and Insurance Affairs of Supreme Council,  mentioned on Wednesday that all legal limitations have been lifted and foreign banks' branches should function outside Iran's mainland and inside the free zones.

 

He also added that some rules and regulations are going to be devised for those banks and the foreign banks have sent their requests to the Supreme Council for Iranian free zones.

 

These requests will initially be sent to secretariat of the council and then to the Central Bank of Iran where all aspects and documents will be examined and the required licenses will be issued next.

 

He also emphasized that it is an optimum time for Iran to gain noticeable benefits considering the lifting of sanctions,available opportunities and existence of rich resources in Iran.
